Simply AMAZING! MARAVILHOSO!
EN
This is a book you don't know you need to read, until you read it.
We are able to see what happen right after the War of Two Queens, and we cal also revisit amazing momentos from the first book.
Poppy went on stasis, and Cas its telling her storys for her to listen while asleep.
It shows us a totally different perspective, and makes us hate the Ascendants even more, plus, gives a deeper layer for the characters and the story.
It balances the present and the past in a comfortable way, not a forced one as a read on other books with the same structure.
My favorite thing was to see how the people view the Maiden. From poppy's perspective, we cannot see clearly how she was respected and loved by the people, and at the same time, we can also see how she is like a symbol or a thing, and not a person.
My respect for Vikter also grew, cause we can see how much he care for her, and her safety.
Casteel was so obsessed with her, even before she get obsessed with him. He and Kieran had so much prejudice involving her, and it's beautiful to see it falling apart page by page.
And I love nektas, was missing him, tough he don't appear that much.
I can't wait to the other books!
If I remember anything else, I put in here.
