The book does a terrific job in telling the history of legendary Kurt Cobain. Narrating as if he was only a character makes the book entertaining to read, even though it's full of detailed descriptions and events. It doesn't get boring, instead gets you hooked as a fictional book would. Still, it doesn't fail to remind us all how Cobain was a human. The author also did a good job in stating the facts and being impartial about it, not taking sides for what he thought was wrong or right in certain situations to make one appear in a better light but instead, just telling things the way they were and letting it to the reader to judge. The book contain sensitive topics, such as drug addiction and suicide but it doesn't feel too much, it's almost light to read. In conclusion, it does its job of being an informative book while also being a good book to pass the time.
