0's and 1's
"Omnis cellula e cellula," he said again. "All cells come from cells. Every cell is born of a previous cell, which was born of a previous cell. Life comes from life. Life begets life begets life begets life begets life."
And The Fault in our Stars begets my renewal.
Finishing this book for the second time made me treasure all the nuances of it, shedding light to simplicity and the inevitability of life.
The story, for those who've been living under a shell, follows the blossoming love between two young adolescents; one with and the other free of cancer. But the universe wants to be noticed, and its vice will (no spoiler involved) determine their fate while both journey through their small infinite.
It's a perfectly written book, balancing teenage humor with philosophical discussions, each scene adding up to their infinity of 0's and 1's.
Sure, it's a tear-jerker, and, true, Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters (our two lovebirds) are in a vicious triangle with death, but despite all that, it's a celebration of life and love.
P.S. I would give an infinity of stars for this book... If only I could.
