?
So, I am writing this review in english because, well, theres not a translation for this book in pt.

It was one of my first times reading a full book in english, in fact, I have tried countless times and I would just give up midway. Not sure why, but this story, tho, it got to me.

I remember just giving it a chance because I couldnt sleep and finishing this with the daylight knocking on my door. It is a very- charming story, I love both of the main characters and I do like the way the author build the relationship up, its intriguing and, GOD, infuriating too.
Also, not only Will and Kim, but Phoebe and Maisie are amazing, they have depth and I do always appreciate two well built women in a narrative!!

Its a great romance + mystery story and I found myself enjoying things I didnt even think I would as plot points!! Definitely worth it and it might have made me quite obsessed with KJC books.

Slippery creatures ???
I read somewhere that this book was an Agatha Christie's book for the gays. And as an Agatha Christie fan, I can say that it's not and I'm glad that it doesn't try to be one.

The book follows Will, a former world war 1 soldier, who inherits from his uncle a bookstore (or should I say bookshop? hehe).
After the war, struggling to make a living is inevitable for former soldiers, and Will is no exception. So Inheriting his uncle?s chaotic second-hand bookstore is a blessing...until strange visitors start making threats looking for a classified information that Will has no idea of. And in the midst of all, he meets Kim, a rich aristocrat that's willing to help him not only with this unknown and secret information, but also under the sheets ( if you know what I mean hehe, this a MM book for crying out loud). However, is Kim really trying to help ? Or does he just want to take Will to bed ? Is Kim after this secret information, too? Something doesn't add up ....
It's KJ Charles first book that I've read and oh boi ... it was fun ! Can't wait to read her other masters ??

3,5/5
