There are more ways to clean up Gotham City than by putting on a Bat-costume. Just ask Barbara Gordon. By night, she keeps the streets safe as the vigilante known as Batgirl. But by day, she's a campaign worker for an up-and-coming congressional candidate who's ready to take on corruption from Gotham to Washington.

But the more waves this brave reformer makes, the more danger Batgirl is in. Her neighborhood is rocked by unrest. Her own father, Gotham City police commissioner Jim Gordon, heads one of the institutions on her boss's to-do list. Her murderous brother, James Jr., has resurfaced with ill intent. A masked assassin has the candidate in his crosshairs. And old enemies are ready to make their play for whatever's left standing.
